Terms of use

By using Garden Colour Plan ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. The service

Garden Colour Plan provides personalised plant suggestions based on the answers you provide. Plants are living things and outcomes depend on weather, soil, pests and care — our plans are guidance, not guarantees of success.

2. Acceptable use

  • Use the site for personal, non-commercial gardening purposes.
  • Don't scrape, copy or republish our plant database without written permission.
  • Don't try to break, overload or attack the site.

3. Affiliate links

"Buy" buttons may direct you to third-party UK retailers. We may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. We are not the seller and are not responsible for the products, delivery, or customer service of those retailers — your purchase is governed by their own terms.

4. Intellectual property

The site, its design, copy and database are owned by Garden Colour Plan Ltd and protected by UK and international copyright laws.

5. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Garden Colour Plan Ltd is not liable for any loss (including damaged plants, lost time or wasted money) arising from your use of the recommendations. Always check plant safety if you have pets or young children.

6. Subscriptions, refunds and cancellations

Garden Colour Plan offers a free plan and paid Premium (£3.99/month) and Annual (£29/year) subscriptions. By subscribing, you authorise us (via our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellations

  • You can cancel your Premium or Annual subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@gardencolourplan.co.uk.
  • There are no cancellation fees and no minimum term.
  • When you cancel, you keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.
  • We do not automatically refund unused portions of a billing period after the 14-day window described below.

14-day money-back guarantee

  • If you upgrade to Premium or Annual and decide it isn't for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund you in full — no questions asked.
  • The 14-day window applies to your first paid subscription only. It does not apply to subsequent renewals (monthly or annual).

Refunds outside the 14-day window

  • After 14 days we do not offer refunds on past billing periods, but you can cancel at any time and you will not be charged again.
  • Annual subscribers may request a prorated refund within the first 14 days only.
  • If you believe you've been charged in error (e.g. duplicate payment, charge after cancellation), contact us within 30 days and we will investigate and refund any genuine errors in full.

How to request a refund

Email support@gardencolourplan.co.ukfrom the email address on your account, with the subject line "Refund request". We aim to process eligible refunds within 5–10 working days back to your original payment method.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry over several days. If all retries fail, your subscription will be cancelled and your account will revert to the Free plan. We'll email you so you can update your payment details if you wish to continue.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any change will only apply to your next billing period and we will email you at least 30 days in advance. You can cancel before the new price takes effect if you don't want to continue.

7. Statutory rights (UK consumers)

If you are a consumer in the UK, you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel digital services under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. By starting to use Premium features immediately on payment, you agree that the service begins straight away; however, our 14-day money-back guarantee above is at least as generous as your statutory rights. Nothing in these terms affects your non-waivable rights as a consumer.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
